We adore the magic and elegance of old Castles - more than a location, an artwork of architecture, an escape from everyday life to open our minds. The elaborate details nourish and replenish our soul’s craving for beauty. A creative bubble, a retreat, a refresh and deeply nourishing quality time, great food, shared knowledge and new friendships. No stage and shoots that actually inspire to play, experiment and grow as an artist to dive into an open conversation about photography, film, art and the winding roads of finding your own way as a creative in today's world.  

WHY LEGACY?

Because we couldn’t find what we are looking for in any other workshop out there. So we created one ourselves.

It doesn't matter if you are just stepping into the photo or film industry or are already having an established business. All speakers will openly share their mistakes and advice, their stories and hearts to really connect with you, no matter your skill level or artistic style. The speakers themselves have been in the industry for very differing timespans and we believe that the more diverse of a group we are, the more we can learn from each other. As Oscar Castro once said - don’t compare your chapter two with someone’s chapter 20. And there will be people from all those different chapters helping each other to the next one.
We had award-winning attendees with over 20 years of experience as professional photographers alongside attendees just starting on their artistic journey immersing themselves in the experience and loving it!

Is this the right fit for me?

During LEGACY you will stay within the walls of the grounds of Chateau de la Flocellière. The rooms reflect the age of the place, but as a bed & breakfast the Chateau highly values comfort for all their guests.  Distributed between the Chateau, the Tower and the Pavillion, rooms are shared by 2-3 people with single beds. Upon registration you can choose between en suite rooms and shared bathrooms.

Full vegetarian catering for your whole stay is included in your ticket, as well as hot and cold beverages. For any special wishes or needs, there is a grocery store within five minute walking distance. 

The number of tickets is bound to the capacities of the Chateau as well as making sure to provide an intimate learning experience by a limited group size. 

Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another person.

As we grow and mature, LEGACY transforms with us. With its beginnings in Portugal in 2018 as a wedding photography workshop, the focus shifted more and more into a fundamental exploration of the medium of photography and film making in itself. Stepping away from the bounds of a specific genre to focus on the evolution of the individual as an artist - which is the base of any art brought into the world.
